Get your Texas State Park Pass Before Increase

The Texas park pass will increase in 2024. Learn details about the cost and when to expect the TPWD price hike.

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department announced that the annual park pass will be increasing from $70 to $95 on September 1, 2024.

The Texas state park pass allows guests unlimited entry for you and the guests in your vehicle, but it also gives you discounts on camping, park store items, etc.

If you enjoy visiting the Texas state parks, the value is definitely there. The entry fees can add up quickly, especially if you visit the parks with your family.

The camping discount is typically on the 2nd night and beyond, and the in-store discount is usually 10% off of items. But all of those savings can add up over the course of the year.

But the cost of the pass helps the parks, so even if you’re not personally benefitting from it, the parks definitely will.
